Repeat Prescriptions
To order a repeat prescription, please tick the medication that you require on the tear off strip that you received with your previous repeat prescription and hand, post or fax to the surgery. If you are unable to get to the surgery to collect your prescription, please enclose a stamped, addressed envelope and we will post it to you.
Alternatively you can order online via Patient Access. To register visit reception at Lance Lane Medical Centre with photographic ID and an email address. The receptionist will give you written information on registration for this.
Electronic Prescribing Service (EPS)
EPS has been live since March 2016 and enables prescribers - such as GPs and practice nurses - to send prescriptions electronically to a dispenser (such as a pharmacy) of the patient's choice. This makes the prescribing and dispensing process more efficient and convenient for patients and staff and you will no longer need to come in to the Practice to collect paper prescriptions.
If you wish to nominate a particular Pharmacy to dispense your prescriptions then you need to speak to a member of staff at the Pharmacy branch you wish to utilise.
For more information on EPS please visit: http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/AboutNHSservices/pharmacists/Documents/eps-patient-information-sheet.pdf
Please note telephone requests will not be accepted unless you are housebound and prior authorisation has been given to you.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
