Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANP)
Advanced Nurse Practitioners are Registered Nurses who have done extra training and academic qualifications to be able to examine, assess, make diagnoses, treat, prescribe and make referrals for patients who present with undiagnosed/undifferentiated problems.

Practice Nurses
Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

Healthcare Assistants (HCA)
Assist in the assessment and surveillance of patients' health and well-being. Undertaking specific clinical activities for named patients that have been delegated and taught specifically in relation to that individual. Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted.

Clinical Pharmacist
Clinical pharmacists work as part of the general practice team to improve value and outcomes from medicines and consult with and treat patients directly. This includes providing extra help to manage long-term conditions, advice for those on multiple medicines and better access to health checks.

Pharmacy Technician
Pharmacy Technician deal with medication queries from patients and staff in a professional manner referring to the appropriate GP in accordance with practice protocols. To advise on the sourcing and safe management of medicines as appropriate. To assist in the submission of claims for personally administered drugs as required.

YPAS
YPAS (Young Persons Advisory Service) Provides mental health and emotional wellbeing services for Merseyside's children, young people (aged 5–25 years old) and families.

Practice Management
Louise Clarke - Practice Manager
The Practice Manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Reception / Care Navigators
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
Our reception team have been trained as Care Navigators which ensures that patients get the right help from the right health profession as soon as possible by asking for a little more detail from the patient when they call.
